Women's Xcel Team

The Xcel Team is an option for class kids to experience competition with minimal investment in money or time.  It does require registering and paying for one additional class held on Saturday afternoons.  This class will teach and refine choreography and skills used in the routines.  These routines will be the basis of competition with other gyms.

There is an athlete registration fee to compete. 

​

How many competitions you wish to participate in is up to you.  We will offer 1 to 2 per month from November through February with a State Meet in March (maybe a Regionals in April or May).  The competitions must be paid by the due date posted along with a coaching fee.  Typical competitions entry fees will range from $90-125 with a $25 Coaching Fee (min 4 entrees).  

Xcel Bronze

Xcel Bronze competition is open to all Gymnastics Class 2 - Intermediate students.  They will have the same choreographed routine with skill options that best suit the athlete.

Minimum Required Skills to Compete:

Vault: Run, Hurdle, & Handstand Flat Back

Bars:  Jump to Front Support, Cast, Back Hip Circle, Cast to Toe Shoot Dismount

Beam:  ½ Turn on One Foot, Straight Jump, Lever, Tuck Jump Dismount

Floor:  Cartwheel, Handstand, ½ Turn on One Foot, Straight Jump to Split Jump

Xcel Silver

 

Xcel Silver is competition is open to all Gymnastics Class 3 - Advanced Students.   

 

Minimum Required Skills to Compete:

Vault: Run, Hurdle, & Handspring Over 32" Pit (or 1/2 On - Roundoff)

Bars:  Kickover, Cast, Back Hip Circle, Cast to Toe Shoot Dismount

Beam:  ½ Turn on One Foot, Straight Jump, ¾ Kick Up Handstand, Side Handstand Dismount

Floor:  Roundoff, Handstand Forward Roll to Cartwheel, Full Turn on One Foot, Straight Jump to Split Jump

Xcel Gold

Xcel Gold is open for any Gymnastics Class 3 - Advanced student that has a Roundoff Back Handspring, Cast Above Horizontal, & Squat On on Bars

​

Minimum Required Skills to Compete:

Vault: Run, Hurdle, & Handspring Over Vault Table (or ½ On - Roundoff)

Bars:  Kickover, Cast Above Horizontal, Back Hip Circle, Squat On, Tapswing, Tapswing ½ Dismount

Beam:  Full Turn on One Foot, Split Jump (90°), Vertical Handstand or Cartwheel, Roundoff Dismount

Floor:  Roundoff Back Handspring, Full Turn on One Foot, Straight Jump to Split Jump (120°), Aerial or Salto
